The tour starts in the morning with a drive from Bishkek to Kochkor village, and then further to Isakeev village (the trailhead).
From here, we begin a steady uphill foot trek into a wide green valley. The trail goes along a dirt track and horse paths, gradually rising past local summer pastures. By afternoon, we reach the alpine Köl-Ukok Lake.

no showers, no electricity, no phone signal.
Trekking: 13 km / approx. 4–5 hours.
Total driving: 250 km / approx. 3-4 hours.
After breakfast, you can enjoy a peaceful morning by the shores of Köl-Ukok Lake. Before noon, we begin our descent back down the same valley to Isakeev village. Our transport will meet us there and transfer us to Kochkor village.
In the morning, we depart from Kochkor toward the Jumgal region, driving through
mountain landscapes to the Kyzart Pass (2,664 m).
From the pass, the trek begins across the Kyzyl-Kiya Jailoo. The trail continues over the Chaar-Archa Pass (3,061 m) and descends into the Chaar-Archa Valley, where we stop for a picnic lunch beside the river with views of Baba-Ata Peak. In the afternoon, we cross the river and hike over rolling green hills to the Kilemche Jailoo.
After breakfast, we begin the ascent to the Jalgyz-Karagai Pass (3,400 m), with views back toward the pastures of Kilemche Jailoo. The mountain pass marks the entrance to the Song-Kul Basin, where the alpine lake appears as we descend.
After a lunch stop near the Jaman-Echki Valley, we continue trekking along the lakeshore toward Tuz-Ashuu Jailoo. Upon arrival, you will meet your local host family for the evening.
After breakfast at Song-Kul Lake, we start our final trekking day and head back toward the valley. The trail goes over the Tuz-Ashuu Pass (3,400 m), offering panoramic views of both the lake and the Jumgal Valley.
We descend from the pass to Kyzart village, where lunch will be served in a local family guesthouse. In the afternoon, our driver picks us up and transfers us back to Bishkek.
