    Itinerary

    Day 1Bishkek – Burana Tower – Song-Kul Lake

    Salam! Your 6-day journey through Kyrgyzstan begins this morning as we leave Bishkek and head toward the heart of the nomadic mountains. Our first stop is the ancient Burana Tower, an 11th-century Silk Road minaret surrounded by old stone balbals and archaeological ruins. You can climb to the top for beautiful panoramic views of the valley.

    After visiting Burana, we continue through the scenic Boom Gorge and stop near the beautiful Orto-Tokoy Reservoir before climbing the spectacular Kalmak-Ashuu Pass at more than 3,400 meters above sea level. The road offers breathtaking views of green jailoos, wild horses, and endless mountain landscapes.

    By afternoon, we arrive at the famous Song-Kul Lake, one of Kyrgyzstan’s most beautiful alpine lakes located at 3,016 meters. Surrounded by nomadic yurts and grazing animals, the lake is the perfect place to experience authentic Kyrgyz nomadic life. Enjoy dinner at the yurt camp and relax under a sky full of stars.

    Day 2Song-Kul Lake – Bokonbaevo – Eagle Hunting Show

    Wake up surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Song-Kul Lake. After breakfast, you may have time to walk along the lakeshore, take photos of local shepherd life, or enjoy the fresh mountain air before we continue our journey toward Issyk-Kul Lake.

    Today’s scenic drive passes through mountain valleys, rivers, and traditional villages before reaching the south shore of Issyk-Kul. By afternoon, we arrive in Bokonbaevo, a village famous for preserving ancient Kyrgyz traditions.

    Here, we will meet a local berkutchi (eagle hunter) and watch a traditional golden eagle hunting demonstration. You will learn about the centuries-old tradition of training these powerful birds for hunting in the mountains. After the show, enjoy a homemade dinner and relax at a cozy guesthouse or yurt camp near the lake.

    Day 3Bokonbaevo – Skazka Canyon – Barskoon Waterfall – Jeti-Oguz Gorge – Karakol

    Today is filled with incredible landscapes around the south shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. After breakfast, our first stop is the famous Skazka Canyon (“Fairytale Canyon”), known for its colorful red and orange sandstone formations shaped by wind and erosion over thousands of years.

    Next, we continue into the mountains toward the beautiful Barskoon Gorge, where we take a short walk to the picturesque Barskoon Waterfall, surrounded by pine forests and fresh mountain air.

    In the afternoon, we visit the stunning Jeti-Oguz Gorge, famous for the red rock formations called the Seven Bulls and the legendary Broken Heart Rock. Surrounded by forests and rivers, this is one of the most iconic places in Kyrgyzstan.

    By evening, we arrive in the charming mountain town of Karakol, located near the Tian Shan Mountains. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and overnight stay at a hotel or
    guesthouse.

    Day 4Karakol – Altyn-Arashan – Karakol

    Today is dedicated to one of Kyrgyzstan’s most famous mountain valleys — Altyn-Arashan, which means “Golden Spa.” After breakfast, we drive by powerful Soviet-style 4×4 truck through rough mountain roads, river crossings, and forest trails deep into the gorge.

    Located at around 2,600 meters above sea level, Altyn-Arashan is a breathtaking alpine valley surrounded by pine forests and snow-capped peaks. Upon arrival, you will have free time to walk around the valley, explore the landscapes, or simply relax in nature.

    The highlight of the day is soaking in the famous natural hot springs, surrounded by incredible mountain scenery. After enjoying the valley, we return by 4×4 vehicle back to Karakol for dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 5Karakol – Chon-Kemin Valley

    After breakfast, we leave Karakol and begin our scenic drive along the beautiful north shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Along the way, enjoy panoramic lake views, mountain landscapes, and small villages scattered along the coastline.

    We stop in Cholpon-Ata to visit the open-air petroglyph museum, where ancient stone
    carvings created by early nomadic civilizations can still be seen today.

    By afternoon, we arrive in the peaceful Chon-Kemin Valley, one of Kyrgyzstan’s hidden gems surrounded by forests, rivers, and mountains. Here, you can enjoy a relaxing walk through the valley, optional horseback riding, or simply отдых in nature after several adventurous days on the road.

    Dinner and overnight stay will be at a cozy guesthouse surrounded by the mountains.

    Day 6Chon-Kemin Valley – Bishkek

    Before arriving in the city, we stop for short scenic breaks and photos along the way. By afternoon, we return to Bishkek, marking the end of your unforgettable 6-day journey through Kyrgyzstan’s mountains, alpine lakes, canyons, and nomadic culture.
